- When using frozen products, use a maximum of 200 grams because the oil cools off rapidly. Shake
frozen products above the sink to remove excess ice.
- When using frozen chips, use a maximum of 400 grams per fry. Allow this deep fryer to pre-heat for at
least 15 minutes with the thermostat at 190°. During this time, it is normal for the light to switch on and
off. Then fry frozen chips for 8 to 12 minutes.

REMOVING LID
When replacing the oil during cleaning it is advisable to remove the lid. This can be done easily by completely
opening the lid. Hold the housing and remove the lid vertically. The lid can be replaced by following these
steps in reverse order.
CHANGING THE OIL
Make sure the fryer and the oil or fat have cooled down before changing the oil or fat (remove the plug
from the socket). Change the oil regularly. This is particularly necessary when the oil or fat goes dark or
the smell changes. Always change the oil after every 10 frying sessions. Change the oil in one go –
never mix old and new oil. Used oil is harmful to the environment. Do not dispose of it with your normal
rubbish but follow the guidelines issued by the local authorities.
OVERHEATING
First remove the plug from the socket and let the appliance cool down.
In the case of overheating, the fryer can be reactivated by pressing the button in the reset hole (7) with a
long pointed object.
Activate the appliance. If the fryer still doesn't work, please contact the nearest authorized service station.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Never immerse the appliance in water! Remove the plug from the socket.
- Clean both inside and outside the fryer regularly.
- Regularly clean the outside of the fryer with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft, clean towel.
- Do not use abrasive detergents.
- The basket, the inner pan, and the removable lid can be cleaned in warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly
before reusing.
- When replacing the oil, you can also clean the inside of the fryer. Empty the fryer and first clean the
inside with a paper towel and then wipe with a wet cloth dipped in soapy water. Then wipe the inside
with a damp cloth and allow it to dry.
NOVA TIPS
- Always place the fryer on a stable surface and keep flammable materials away.
- Do not place the fryer on or near a switched-on hot plate.
- Before you use the fryer it must be filled with the required amount of oil. Never use the fryer without oil
as this will damage the appliance.
- Never fryer the appliance during use. The oil becomes hot and you can
burn yourself. Wait until the oil has cooled down before moving the fryer.
- This fryer is protected by thermal protection. This means it switches
itself off when it overheats.
