ASSEMBLY
WARNING ! Always ensure that the tool is switched off and the plug is removed
from the power source before making any adjustments or performing maintenance
procedures.
Selecting the right grade of sandpaper
Different grades of sandpaper can be purchased from your local store.
Use a coarse grit to sand down rough finishes, medium grit to smooth the work
and fine grit to finish off.
It is best to make a trial run on a scrap piece of material to determine the
optimum grades of sandpaper for a particular job. If there are still marks on your
work after sanding, try either going back to a coarser grade and sanding the
marks out before recommencing with the original choice of grit, or try using a
new piece of sandpaper to eliminate the unwanted marks before going on to a
finer grit and finishing the job.
WARNING ! Do not use the same sanding sheet for wood and metal.
Metal particles become embedded in the sandpaper and will scour a wooden
surface.
Fitting the sandpaper
Your sander uses one third sheets, or pre-cut punched nylon backed sheets.
Installing or removing abrasive disc
To install the abrasive disc, first remove all dirt or foreign matter from the pad.
Then peel off the backing paper from the abrasive disc and attach the abrasive
disc to the pad. Be careful to align the holes in the abrasive disc with those in the
pad.
CAUTION: If you peel off the abrasive disc from the pad, its adhesion will
become poor. Never attempt to stick it onto the pad for further use.
Installing dust box
Install the dust box on the tool so that the on the dust box will be upright.
