9. Commissioning - Getting Started
The module may only be commissioned after it has been installed contact-free
in a casing. Prior to commissioning the assembly, check whether it is suited for
the intended application!
In case of doubt, you must contact an expert or the manufacturer!
Operating Voltage
Open the casing by removing the 4 screws and remove the lid of the casing. Direct voltage of
5 to 32 V/DC is required at the input clamps (15). Please observe correct polarity (plus/+ and
minus/-).
If the operating voltage connected is correct, the following will light up:
LED (1) or LED (2) = rechargeable battery connected
LED (1) and LED (2) = rechargeable battery not connected
SIM Card Preparation
This is what you require to operate and configure "the GX107":
• A usual mobile phone with a SIM card for configuration of the "GX107"
• An additional SIM card (prepaid or subscription) for the "GX 107"
Changing the PIN Code
To operate the "GX 107", you need a separate SIM card just like for any other mobile phone.
It does not matter whether you use a prepaid card or a subscription card.
Each SIM card has a PIN code. Due to the fact that the "GX 107" has its own PIN processor,
you have to change the PIN code of the SIM card.
To do so, first insert the SIM card you want to use for the "GX 107" into any mobile phone and
change the set PIN code of the SIM card to the number combination "1513": For this, observe
the operating instructions of your mobile phone.
Once you have changed the PIN code of your SIM card, you can remove it from the mobile
phone and insert it in the "GX 107". The SIM slot is located on the front of the circuit board of
the "GX 107", underneath the casing cover.
