1. Measure:
Valve operating temperature
Valve lift
Out of specification → Replace the
thermostat.
Water temperature
Below
60 ˚C (140 ˚F)
Above
70 ˚C (158 ˚F)
Measuring steps:
Suspend the thermostat in a container
filled with water.
Slowly heat the water.
Place a thermometer in the water.
While stirring the water, observe the
thermometer's indicated temperature.
