Starter rope installation
Recoil starter checking
NOTE:
When checking the recoil starter operation,
push
lock cam and then pull the recoil starter
handle (at the same time).

1. Install:
Starter rope
Installing steps:
Tie a knot on the end of the starter
rope.
Wind the starter pulley 1 counter-
clockwise until it stops.
Turn the starter pulley clockwise until
the rope hole a and recoil starter
roller b align. Hold the starter pulley
at this position.
NOTE:
If the starter pulley is turned less than 90˚
(from where if stopped to where the rope
hole and roller align), turn it one-full turn
clockwise until the hole and roller align
again.
Insert the starter rope through the
rope hole and feed it past the recoil
starter roller as shown.
