Transport and handling
Horizontal models
The appliances come with special eyebolts for lifting.
Lifting operations must be carried out using a sling
system as shown in figure 2 so as to avoid any
damage to the side panels.
During transport and handling, the appliance must be
kept horizontal and under no circumstances be
turned upside down or be inclined. The weight of
each model is shown in the table in figure 3.
Vertical models
When lifting the appliance make sure to use the sling
as shown in Fig. 2a so as avoid damaging the side
panels. During transport and handling, the appliance
should remain in the vertical position and must never
be turned upside down or leaned over. The weight of
each model is shown in the table shown in Fig. 3a.
Installation
In compliance with standards, cable gland clamps
come supplied for 10-12 mm external diameter feed
cables for Vort NRG 500 - 800 – 1200 and for 14 - 16
mm external diameter feed cables for Vort NRG 2000
- 2500 - 3000 - 4000 - 5000 – 6000.
The ducting fixed to the intake and outlet ports must
have the same cross-section (see dimensions fig 3,
3a).
Once fitted, the ducting must be fixed to the intake
and outlet ports using clamps or other suitable
means.
It is not recommended that you use ducting with
bends in the immediate vicinity of the appliance, as
the flow of air generated requires a straight section at
least 3 or 4 times the equivalent diameter of the duct
to reduce the vertical air flow to normal.
The fan blades are dynamically and statically
balanced in compliance with ISO 1940 to grade 6.3,
however, the use of anti-vibration supports at the
base of the unit is recommended.
Check that both the filters are locked in place by their
safety tabs (fig.4).
Once the appliance has been installed in the correct
position, connect it to the ducting system, connect
the power supply to the terminal boxes and fasten the
condensation drainage pipes (fig 5: Ht = total
pressure in Pa).
Vertical models: If the appliance is installed in very
humid surroundings, it is important to ensure that no
residue remains in the side trays. If in doubt, fit the
additional drainage system that comes supplied with
the unit (fig 5a). Make sure that the semi-rigid siphon
tube (fig 5b) or a "Duckbill drain" is properly fitted.
The configurations of motors and inlet/outlet nozzles
can differ (horizontal models: fig.6,7, vertical models:
fig. 8) A= standard configurations); no other
configuration is authorised by Vortice.
Horizontal models installation
Ceiling
The installation instructions below must be followed:
8
All manuals and user guides at all-guides.com
1.Check that the ceiling where the appliance is to
befitted is strong enough to bear its weight;
2 Make sure that the system used for anchoring the
appliance does not interfere with the structural
rigidity of the ceiling where the appliance is to be
mounted;
3.Use properly tightened fittings that are strong
enough to bear the weight of the appliance and that
are suited to the type of ceiling. The fittings must
also be able to withstand vibration and not work
loose over time.
The appliance is fitted with mounting brackets (to be
fitted) at each corner where chains or threaded rods
can be attached to facilitate ceiling mounting and
levelling (also useful for removing the appliance from
its packaging).
For models 500 and 800 use the brackets provided;
for models from 1200 to 6000 use suitable brackets
(fig. 9.10).
Floor
For floor mounting, a suitable support system must
be used that allows filters to be inspected.
Vertical models installation
Vertical models are to be floor mounted using the feet
supplied.
Operation
The appliance operates in continuous mode and has
a switch that sets it to run at 75% of normal speed.

Maintenance/Cleaning
Before commencing any operation, make sure that the
appliance is disconnected from the power supply and
the blades have stopped turning. Dismantling and as-
sembly are special maintenance operations and must
be carried out by qualified personnel only.
Filter maintenance
Checking the state of filters
Checks for clogged filters can be carried out by
connecting a differential pressure sensor to the
pressure couplings near the filters on the bottom of
the appliance; The maximum permitted pressure drop
for F5 and F7 filters is 100 Pa more than the initial
value measured on new filters.
Inspecting from the side of the appliance:
Using the special key provided, turn the "filter
inspection panel" lock to the left and remove the
panel. (For vertical models 3000, 4000, 6000: open
the hatch)
Check the condition of the filter, and replace it if
necessary.
