Operation and maintenance
Remove all packaging of the device.
Check if the voltage of the appliance corresponds to the main voltage of your home.
Rated voltage : AC220-240V 50Hz. Only connect this appliance to an earthed socket.
First use
Clean all loose parts, these are not dishwasher safe.Clean the housing with a damp cloth.
Never immerse in water! At the first use the machine can spread some smell and smoke, this
is normal. Always place the machine in a well ventilated area and on a flat and stable surface.
Use
The popcorn maker is not a toy! Do not allow minors to opperate this appliance.
Children should be closely supervised by an adult when the appliance is in use.
The popcorn maker makes a large dish op popcorn from a handful of corn in about 3 minutes.
A small cup is provided for measuring out the required amount of corn and for melting butter if
reguired.
Fill the measuring cup(no.1) with corn. Spread the corn around the popcorn chamber(no.3) in
the machine. Only corn is required for making popcorn,never put other ingredients, such as oil,
suger or salt into the popcorn chamber! Lose the popcorn lid(no.2). Use a heat resisted dish
which will fit under the opening of the machine to catch the popcorn as it is made. Plug in the
machine and switch it on using the On/off switch(no.5) on the side of the popcorn maker. After
about 3 minutes most of the grains will have exploded and the popcorn is ready to eat.
Sweet popcorn can be made by shaking caster sugar over the just made warm popcorn.
Flavoury popcorn can be made by adding some salt to the popcorn.
If disired the measuring cup can be used to melt butter during the process. Butter must be
placed in the measuring cup before the popcorn maker is switched on. The melted butter can
be spread over the popcorn after it is made.
Then switch off the machine again by moving the main switch to "off". Do not open the lid for
at least 10 minutes after the machine has stoped.
After each use, let the machine cool down for about 10 minutes. The popcorn maker has an
overheating security device which will switch the machine off automatically if it becomes
overheated. The machine will function normally once the temperature has dropped down to a
normal level again.
Cleaning of the device
First remove the plug from the wall-outlet and allow all the parts to cool down before cleaning
them. Clean the popcorn maker after each use to prefent leftover food from sticking. Do not
use abrasive or strong detergents. Never immerce the device in water or other liquid. The
device and the accessories are not dishwasher save.
The outside can be wiped with a damp cloth.
