7.1.4 Overspeed
In the case of overspeed, the PSU01 opens the safety circuit and therefore provides a pre-tripping with
respect to the speed limiter. An adjustable rated speed prevents travels exceeding 115 %, upwards as
well as downwards, by opening the safety circuit.
The rated speed of the elevator can be set in mm/s (see parameterizing manual).
As standard, this speed is set to 5 m/s and therefore ineffective.
The rated speed can be modified continuously during standstill.
7.1.5 Relay test
A relay test is performed at least once a year. It starts during a standstill and opens all safety relays. A
connected compatible control receives the information that the PSU01 is currently performing the relay
test. Such control can trigger this test by resetting the PSU01 (see programming manual) at a moment
chosen by it, provided the interval between tests does not exceed one year. The twelve-month counter
starts over again after every self test.
7.2 Error mode
In case of an error, the PSU01 switches to the error mode (PSU01 lock), and the safety circuit and
door zone relays are immediately opened. The UCM relay opens with a slight delay (excepted in case
of an UCM event) to prevent an unnecessary catch. The reaction time, including the opening time of
the relays, is < 25 ms.
Depending on the severity of the error, the PSU01 switches immediately to lock mode or it memori-
zes this error. The errors are output and can be displayed by a compatible control or via a CANopen
terminal.
The reaction to errors is described in chapter 7.3 - 7.6, resetting an error is described in chapter 7.6.
In any case, the error processing of the Ants LES01 (Sensor Safe) operating instructions is also to be
taken into consideration.
This function is not part of the SIL3 certification and does not replace
the measures prescribed in EN81.
In the event of a PSU01 lock, an installer must read the error type on
a CANopen monitor or a compatible control and remedy it. This may
be an UCM event, but also a critical failure of the PSU Evaluation Unit
(e.g. relay failure) or of the Ants LES01 (Sensor Safe). It is the instal-
ler's responsibility to restart safely a locked plant.
