- Unscrew the cap of the cold appliance, fully fill the water tank and screw the cap again.
- Put the plug of the power cord in a socket suitable for V voltage indicated on the rating plate of the appliance. The socket must be OBLIGATORILY equipped
with a grounded terminal which is safe and efficient; failing this one or in case of doubts please contact a qualified installer in order to check the efficacy of
the grounding installation.
- Press the position I of the luminous switches to start the iron and the boiler.
- After few minutes the central warning light indicator will lit up advising that the boiler is ready for the steam ironing.
- Turn the temperature dial (code 5) to the required fabric setting, the internal thermostat will develop the most correct temperature suitable to the fabric to be
ironed.
- Press the steam button (red button A7P) for the steam ironing.
- When there is no more steam nor water into the tank, the central warning light will remain always alight and no more steam is coming out of the iron.
- It is necessary to wait about 20/25 minutes (which is the approximate cooling time of the boiler) before filling up the tank again and being able to start ironing again.
After many years of experience in the field of flatirons in order to improve both product quality and perfomances, we have noticed, also with the suggestions of
our customers, that the iron gives excellent ironing results and has got a longer duration thanks to small expedients which exploit the potential capacity of the
appliance to the maximum extent.
- Boiler filling: we recommend to use ordinary domestic water supply, without the addition of any other liquids, to pour it slowly through the funnel so not to disturb
eventual calcareous deposit in the tank, never turn the boiler upside down for any reason otherwise the calcareous mass will obstruct the steam exhaust
staining the tissue. Always using the above precautions, the cleaning of the tank from the calcareous mass could be made after several years of use.
- While the operator is waiting for the steam to be available, after about three minutes of switch-on, the iron is ready for dry ironing.
- The dial on the iron indicates the ironing temperature with two positions: dry, the iron irons at a low heat of approximate 90° C without using steam; with steam:
the iron irons with a constant emission of steam. The maximum heat available is obtained by adjusting the dial between linen and cotton; although the steam
output is not easily detectable because of the excess of heat (about 180°C), such an output is constant and equally balanced.
- The operator must never leave the iron unattended when it is connected to the electrical outlet.
- Each time you refill the tank always remove the plug from the mains outlet. When the iron is used for the first time, it may emit a slight smell which will disappear
afterwards; this is caused by the normalization of the construction materials and does not damage the appliance.
- Never direct the hot steam shot towards people, animals nor to any electrical parts of the room, sockets, switches not even towards the appliance itself.
- Use a dry cloth for the external cleaning of the iron.
- When the iron ON switch (code A68) is pressed and for the first 2/3 minutes of ironing, the temperature dial (code A5) must be positioned on the "WOOL"
setting. After that time you can adjust it to the desired setting (cotton, linen).
- Do not remove nor unscrew the boiler cap while you are ironing, in any case, before removing the cap, check there is no steam coming out of the iron.
- The cap (code A130), the safety thermostat (code A56), the iron fuse (code A97T) and the power cord (code A70) must be replaced only by the producer or
by its technical assistance service or by a person with similar qualification in order to avoid any risks.
WE RECOMMEND YOU TO READ THE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
When you switch on the iron (code A68) and for the first 2-3 minutes after you start ironing, the temperature dial (code A5) MUST be set on the temperature "WOOL ";
after that time you can adjust it to the desired setting (cotton, linen, etc.).
1) - HOW TO FILL THE BOILE
Pour water possibly hot without any other liquids into the boiler, pour it slowly through
the funnel in such a way as not to move the calcareous deposit which is on the bottom of the boiler. DO NOT USE PURIFIED OR SWEETENED WATER.
2) - WAITING FOR STEAM
Fill the boiler and press the luminous buttons, after a few minutes (10/15 minutes for 1,2 litres, 15/20 minutes for 1,8 litres, 25/30 minutes for 2,3 litres) the central indicator
light will light up; it is only after the first lightning of the warning light that you will be able to iron using the steam.
It is also possible to iron without filling the steam boiler completely with water, in this case you will have a quick and ready ironing, you only have to measure the water
contained inside the steam boiler with the proper "Measuring level" and proceed as described before.
Remember that :
- 1 litre of water gives an ironing autonomy of about 1 hour / 2 hours;
- 1,5 litres of water gives an ironing autonomy of about 1,5 / 2,5 hours.
3) - GENERAL WARNINGS TO FOLLOW THE END OF THE IRONING SESSION
Do not unscrew the cap to make the steam get out at the end of the ironing session, never turn the generator upside down to throw the remaining water away.
4) - IF THE WATER FINISHES
If while you are ironing the boiler runs out of water, you must wait 20/25 minutes to fill the steam boiler another time (without unscrewing the cap and without making
the steam get out), this lapse of time is necessary to let the generator get cold. After that time you will be able to fill the steam generator according to point 1).
5) - STEAM IRONING
The ideal ironing temperature can be reached with the temperature indicator on the "COTTON" position (about 160°). If you want to iron fabrics in nylon, rayon and
silk you have to lower the iron temperature setting the temperature dial on the position required. When you carry out this operation do not use the steam because the
iron has not yet reached the right temperature to produce steam and if you push the steam buttom, some water will get out producing some calcareous deposit which
will clog the holes of the plate.
6) - IRONING WITHOUT STEAM
You simply have to press the iron's switch and, by adjusting the temperature dial, you will be able to start ironing without the steam.
