Retrieval of the
previous settings
This step of parameter setting applies to the adjustment of the sensor, the setting of
the image definition and the image brightness.
Please note that the sensor has to be adjusted and set according to the following cri-
teria to ensure reliable code recognition:
• The Data Matrix code has to be set to be sharp, to be equally lit and it should be
of high contrast.
• The code should be shown more or less in the middle of the field of view.
• The size of the code in the image should be no larger than approx. 2/3 of the
image.
• When selecting the operating distance the minimum module size of the Data
Matrix code must be taken into account (see data sheet).
• The finder bar of the code (see annex page 50) has to be orientated in parallel to
the edge of the image window, a rotation of max. ±10° is permissible.
