USING THE SAFETY SEAT IN THE REAR FACING POSITION (PART 1) (40-105 cm)
It is advisable to use the safety seat in the rear facing position until the child measures 105 cm and
weighs a maximum of 18 kg.
WARNING! It is compulsory to use the rear facing position until the child is 15 months and measures
75 cm. Even when the child has reached this age and size, the rear facing position is still the safest
position to travel in. For further details, see chapter: USING THE SAFETY SEAT IN THE REAR FACING
POSITION (PART 2).
USING THE SAFETY SEAT IN THE FORWARD FACING POSITION (PART 1) (76-105 cm)
The safety seat can be used in the forward facing position if the child is over 15 months, measures at
least 76 cm and weighs a maximum of 18 kg.
NOTE! Set the headrest to the correct height for the child. For further details, see chapter: USING THE
SAFETY SEAT IN THE FORWARD FACING POSITION (PART 2).
NOTE! For orthopaedic and safety reasons, newborn babies and babies that cannot yet sit up unaided
(up to about 1 year old), should always travel in the flattest reclining position, and in the rear facing
position.

INSTALLATION IN THE VEHICLE
NOTE! If your vehicle does not have a suitable seat for the i-Size safety seat, consult the list of types
of vehicles included.
* Choose an appropriate place in the vehicle.
* Unfold the support leg until it locks.
Pull the ISOFIX extension strap (8A) under the body of the seat and both ISOFIX accessories (3) will
automatically extend.
* The safety indicator should be clearly visible on both ISOFIX release buttons.
* Push the safety seat back towards the backrest until it is completely aligned. Lock both ISOFIX
accessories in the corresponding lower ISOFIX anchors, you will hear a click when the ISOFIX
accessories and the ISOFIX anchors are correctly connected. The ISOFIX installation indicators (5) will
now turn green. The ISOFIX installation is now complete. Make sure there are no gaps between the
safety seat and the backrest of the vehicle seat.
Pull the ISOFIX extension strap (8A) and push the body of the safety seat back to make sure that the
base is firmly supported against the backrest of the vehicle seat.
NOTE! The ISOFIX anchor points (7) are two metal tabs per seat, and they are found between the
backrest and seat in the vehicle. If in doubt, consult the instruction manual of your car for more
information.
* If it is difficult to access the ISOFIX anchor points in the car, use the connection guides provided to
avoid damaging the cover.
* If necessary, attach the connection guides provided to the longest tab pointing upwards on both
ISOFIX anchor points. In a lot of cars it is more effective to install the connection guides in the
opposite direction.
NOTE! Do not place any objects in the footwell in front of the child safety seat.
