Product description

TX solar modules are sewn into a textile frame.
The soft transition from the rigid module to the textile frame allows
the modules to be fastened to taut textile surfaces such as spray-
hood, bimini or tarpaulin.
Each wing of a multi-wing module works independently.
This reduces power loss in case of partial shading.
For easy removal of the module when the sprayhood, bimini or
tarpaulin are folded away, a watertight plug connector is fitted to
the short module connection cable (
The module itself is fastened to the textile top using Tenax
fasteners. Matching Tenax base parts for textile surfaces are
enclosed with each module. Your dealer also stocks other types of
Tenax base parts including bases with wooden thread or metric
thread.
Other fastening methods such as hook and loop tape or zip
fastener may be sewn onto the frame. Speak to your sail or
tarpaulin maker for this service.
The disconnected cable of multi-wing modules is threaded through
the textile joint to prevent cable breakage (

Mounting
Installing the Tenax base parts
To attach the Tenax base parts we recommend cutting a 9mm hole
into the tarpaulin. The easiest way to do this is using an arc punch,
also called a wad punch (

tool.
To mark the hole positions of the Tenax base parts, place the
module as required onto the textile top. Now mark the Tenax
positions on the underside of the textile top using a felt-tip pen or
chalk.
When using an arc punch, we suggest placing a piece of hard wood
or a PVC board underneath to punch the holes.
Insert the Tenax base parts and screw in place (
locking key needed for the Tenax backing plate is included with each
TX module. It may be advisable to reinforce the textile top with fabric
or PVC sheet under each Tenax base part.
Now fit the module and connect the Tenax (
To release the connection, disengage the Tenax fasteners by lifting
off the top (

). The required manual release makes the Tenax
fastener reliable and secure. The module cannot come lose by itself.
Where rivets are to be used instead of Tenax, remove the top parts
on the textile frame. To do so, unscrew the backing plate on the
underside. You can use the 9mm hole to drive in a 10mm rivet using
standard setting tools.
