FANS WITH TSC ELECTRONIC MODULE
(speed and temperature controller)
KSA U fans (fig. 11) allow automatic changing the impeller
rotation speed (the air flow depending on the air temperature
in a duct).
All models of fans with electronic module are supplied with
the power cord.
KSA U fan model with index n is equipped with remote
temperature sensor operating at distance up to 4 m.
On the front panel of the fan there are located the following
controls:
preliminary setup of impeller rotation speed;
operation threshold of electronic thermostat;
indicator LED of thermostat operation.
After fan mounting it is necessary to remove the protective
cover unscrewing 2 self tapping screws (fig. 10).
Algorithm of timer operation
Adjust the desired ambient temperature using the thermostat
controller knob (operation threshold of thermostat).
Adjust the required rotation speed of impeller using the
impeller rotation speed controller knob (air flow).
In case of increasing the air temperature and exceeding the
set operation threshold of thermostat the automation will
switch the fan motor to maximum rotation speed (maximum
flow).
In case of decreasing the air temperature lower than the set
operation threshold of thermostat the automation will switch
the fan motor to preset rotation speed.
To exclude the possibility of the motor frequent switching
(at steady temperature in duct equal to threshold value) there
is used the switching delay. There exist two delay algorithms
which can be used in different cases:
KSA U
Delay according to temperature sensor signal:
when the air temperature exceeds the set operation
threshold of thermostat by 2°C the switching to higher speed
occurs. Return to preset (lower) speed will occur at
decreasing the temperature to value lower than the set
operation threshold thermostat.
This algorithm can be used at need to maintain the air
temperature with accuracy less than 2°C. In this case the fan
switching will be executed seldom.
KSA U1
Delay according to timer signal:
when the air temperature exceeds the set operation threshold
of thermostat the switching to higher speed occurs and timer
of delay for 5 minutes switches on. Return to preset (lower)
speed will occur at decreasing the temperature to value lower
than the set operation threshold thermostat and only after the
delay time expiring.
This algorithm can be used at need to maintain accurately
the air temperature In this case the fan switching will be
executed more frequently than using the delay according to
temperature sensor signal, but with time intervals not more
than 5 minutes.
WARNING! Installation work and electrical wiring must be
done by qualified person(s) in accordance with all applicable
codes and standards, include fire rated construction codes
and standards
Before installation please make sure that there are not any
visible damages of the impeller, case, screen and there are
not any foreign objects inside the case, which may damage
the impeller blades
Single phase network used for connection of the device
should meet the acting regulations (norms).
Connection should be done via a switch QF built in the fixed
wiring.
Distance between contacts of the switch should be not less
than 3 mm.
