USING THE JUMP STARTER
Ensure that the Venture Jump is fully charged. Carefully read and understand the vehicle
owner's manual on specific precautions and recommended methods for jump starting the
vehicle. The Venture Jump is for jump starting 12-volt lead-acid batteries only.
Step 1. Connect to the Battery
Securely connect the red clamp with positive (+) from the jumper cable to the positive
battery terminal, typically marked by these letters or symbol (POS, P, +).
Securely connect the black clamp with negative (-) from the jumper cable to the negative
battery terminal typically marked by these letters or symbol (NEG, N,-).
Step 2: Connect to the Venture Jump
Securely insert jumper cable leads into jumper cable port on the Venture Jump making sure
to orient the cable correctly in the port. Once inserted into the Venture Jump DO NOT allow
the positive and negative battery clamps to touch or connect to each other as the product
will generate sparks and potential harm.
Step 3: Jump Starting
Make sure all the vehicle's power loads (headlights, radio, air conditioning, etc.) are turned
off before attempting to jump start the vehicle.
Once the Venture Jump is connected, wait 30 seconds before attempting to start. Attempt
to start your vehicle by turning the ignition key or pushing the ignition button for up to 5
seconds. Each start-up attempt should not exceed 5 seconds. Wait for 1 minute between
each start-up attempt. DO NOT attempt more than five (5) consecutive jump starts with a
fifteen (15) minute period.
Once you have started the vehicle, remove the jumper cable leads from the jumper cable
port on the Venture Jump, then disconnect the red clamp with positive (+) from the battery.
Then remove the black clamp with negative (-) from the battery.
NOTE: The Venture Jump is a start-up aid and cannot fully substitute the power of an
original battery. If the battery of your vehicle is completely discharged or faulty, the unit will
not have enough power to start up your vehicle.
