TROUBLESHOOTING
ISSUE
Alarm sounds for no reason
I am having difficulty
hearing the alarm
The Battery Indicator Light
is flashing red
I just replaced the battery
and I am still getting a low
battery alert
My baby is now mobile and
the Movement Monitor is
not staying in place
POSSIBLE REASON
Contact is lost between sensor
and tummy.
Diaper is too large. Diapers
that are too big loosen around
the waistband, causing Oma to
lose contact.
External movement is affecting
sensor reading
Battery is nearing depeletion
Battery is fully depleted
Too much clothing or too
many blankets
Battery is nearing depeletion
Battery is fully depleted
Unit was not turned OFF
before removing the depleted
battery
Movement Monitor needs to
be secured in place

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Check that diaper fits properly
and is not too large; see page 7 to
properly fit a diaper.
Avoid using Oma when child is in
a car seat, stroller, swing or other
mobile carrier as motion negates
the functionality of the monitor.
Battery needs to be replaced (see
page 13, "Replacing the Battery")
Make sure the alarm can be heard
if baby is covered in clothing and/
or blankets
To extend the distance at which
the alarm can be heard, Levana
recommends using Oma together
with an Audio Baby Monitor or
a Video Baby Monitor. Please
consult our website at mylevana.
com to view our complete line of
Levana Baby Monitors.
Battery needs to be replaced (see
page 13, "Replacing the Battery")
Turn unit OFF before removing the
battery
Power cycle the unit a few times;
this should correct issue
We suggest a snug fitting sleeper
and pant set. It will keep it in place
when baby becomes mobile.
Insert a safety pin through the
material (of the sleeper) and
through the back of the clip -
the clip is designed in such a
way that this is possible. It won't
come off until you remove the
safety pin. Obviously this is only
recommended before the diaper
goes on so that there is no risk of
hurting baby.
