B. range and reception faulty - display flashes. the receiver display flashes "nO" instead of "Ok" (7.3),
when the transmitter is out of range. the red luminous row display (15) flashes and a warning is sounded.
the speech output (annex a) announces furthermore, that currently no or only a reduced radio contact is
present between the transmitter and receiver.
5.4 actiVatiOn/deactiVatiOn OF the key LOck
Briefly pressing the key (6) activates the key lock, the symbol (7.8) appears on the display and the speech
output reports the key lock. Briefly pressing the key (6) deactivates the key lock and the symbol (7.8)
disappears.
5.5 deactiVating key and warning sOunds
deactivation of the key and warning sounds are mainly useful in the night. Occasionally occurring short term
malfunctions can cause a range control error message; the reception is however not permanently impaired.
we recommend deactivating the warning function particularly during the night, if other radio babysitters
or units interfere, due to beyond horizon communication, because close-range radio communication (e.g. in
your own living quarters) is nevertheless ensured. Briefly press the key (16), the symbol (7.5) appears. all
key and warning sounds are now switched off. Briefly press the key (16) again in order to reactivate them,
the symbol (7.5) disappears.
5.6 deactiVating speech Output
the speech output can be deactivated - like the key and warning sounds.
press the key (16) until the symbol (7.6) appears on the display. the speech output is now deactivated. to
reactivate the speech output press the key (16) again until the symbol (7.6) disappears from the display.
5.7 aeriaL
the receiver aerial (17) should be placed vertically. press the release key (18) and the aerial jumps out
of the housing. then swivel the aerial upwards to a vertical position until it engages. press the aerial to
reinsert into the housing. the aerial can also remain folded in the close range of the living quarters or in
the house. this must be tested. the aerial is to be placed upright again, if the range control is frequently
triggered.
5.8 carrying cLip
the receiver can be fastened to a belt or bag with this clip.
6. OperatiOn and saFety nOtes
please observe a distance of at least 1 metre between transmitter and child. the use of a radio babysitter
cannot replace but only support the personal supervision of a child or a person in need of care. any liability
outside of the legal guarantee provisions is excluded. this particularly applies to the non-intended medical
use of radio babysitters.
