PRESSURE COOKER
bar), you can open or tighten the lid. When the pressure inside the cooker is higher
than 4kPa (0.04 bar), the safety lock prevents lid from opening. Note: Never open the
lid by force. You can start the opening only when the pressure regulator/steam release
valve (4) stops emitting steam, and the red stem of the pressure safety valve drops.
III.
Description of the use and purpose of use
1.
The pressure cooker is designed for cooking at home and should not be used
for other purposes. People who do not know the service of the cooker should not use it.
When using, keep children away from the pressure cooker.
2.
The pressure cooker is made of high-grade stainless steel.
IV.
Before first use
1.
Read the following instructions carefully.
2.
Clean all the parts thoroughly with hot water and normal detergent, rinse
thoroughly and dry using a soft cloth.
3.
Wash all the components with hot water with detergent and dry them with a
soft cloth.
4.
If you see white spots, remove them with water and vinegar.
5.
We recommend to hand wash the pressure cooker only.
6.
For cleaning, do not use sharp materials, as they may damage the stainless
steel coating.
V.
Pressure cooker operation
1.
Before using, make sure that the pressure regulator/steam release valve (4)
is not obstructed and that the pressure of the safety valve (9) freely goes in the hole of
the lid. In addition, make sure that the safety valve (9) bounces to its original position
once pressed.
2.
After adding liquids or other ingredients in the pressure cooker, turn the lid
knob clockwise until it engages properly.
3.
The lid is properly closed when you hear the characteristic click indicating its
locking.
4.
Turn the knob of the pressure regulator/steam release valve to one of the
following positions: I. Cooking pressure 0.6 bar (60kPa); II. Cooking pressure 1.0 bar
(100kPa).
5.
The pressure cooker should be filled to a maximum of 2/3 of its capacity when
cooking dry foods, and to a maximum of 1/3 of its capacity when cooking food like
maize, soups, etc. The maximum filling capacity of the pressure cooker is 6 litres. The
minimum filling level is 3 litres. These values are marked on the inside of the pressure
cooker as MAX and MIN, respectively. The pressure cooker must not be operated
without water.
6.
The pressure cooker should be set on a smaller hob than the outer diameter
of its bottom. Begin to cook over high heat to rapidly increase the pressure inside the
pot. When the pressure reaches the appropriate level, the valve will automatically
release the steam. Then, lower the temperature provided by the hob to keep
continuous passage of steam.
7.
After the initial pressure reduction, you can speed up the pressure reduction
