Stroke programming sequence
To enter programming mode press and hold PROG
for 4 sec.: the display will show
Open the release door: after a few seconds the
PH AS
message
appears on the display and the
timing of the motor starts, which consists in the
measuring of its operating parameters.
If the motor timing fails, the message no PH will
appear on the display: close the release door and
repeat the programming procedure.
If the problem persists, check that the cable
connecting to the encoder (ENC, Figure 11) on the
motor is intact and well inserted in its connector.
If the motor timing is successful, the parameters are
stored in a non-volatile EEPROM memory and the
PH AS
message
flashes on the display.
Close the release door: the mechanical part is thus
connected again to the motor, and at this point the
real programming of the stroke will begin.
The display shows the blinking message
indicating that you should quickly release the space
covered by the photocells, so as not to interrupt the
programming with error.
After a few seconds, the message disappears and if
the photocells are not in alarm the message
will appear on the display and the motor is started
while opening; if it is started while closing this
means that an incorrect value was set for par.
stop the program by pressing the TEST button or the
STOP button, correct the error and start over again.
After reaching the mechanical hook, the door will
start opening at low speed. After reaching the end
of the opening, after a short pause (shown with the

PHOTOCELL TEST mode
By connecting the power of the transmitters of the
photocells to terminal block SC (no. 8) instead of
to terminal no 27 and by selecting the parameter
A8 O2
photocells test mode is activated (see figure 7).
For each command issued the control unit turns the
photocells off and on and checks that the status of
the contact changes correctly: only if this is so will
the command activate the motor, otherwise the
locked status is maintained.
NOTE: in this mode 24 VDC of voltage is still present
in the SC terminal block, therefore you can no longer
use that output for the gate open light.
If the battery is installed, another feature available
on SC terminal is for "battery saving", described in
paragraph 11.

Error reporting
The operating parameters are stored in a non-
volatile memory (EEPROM) with appropriate control
codes which ensure its validity; an error in the
parameters is shown on the display and at the same
time the control unit will not allow the command to
be activated.
Example: in the case an error occurring in parameter
21, the display would present the following type of
indication:
"EE" indicates the presence of the error, the control
unit will be locked until the correct value is restored;
you must use the + and - buttons, selecting the
numeric value appropriate to the installation, and
then save it.
NOTE: in the case of an error in the parameter,
AV to
the "extended numbering shown in the table
in paragraph 12 is always displayed, even if the
simplified method has been activated.
