Before starting the engine:
check oil level into the gearbox (fig. 4)
-
check the engine oil by unscrewing the oil level tap. Always refer to the engine instructions
-
manual.
check that the air filter (oil bath version) is clean and that the oil is at the right level (fig. 5).
-
check that the air filter (dry version) is clean (fig. 6). Caution! Never blow the cartridge with
-
compressed air. If clogged it must always be replaced (see engine instructions booklet).
fill the tank with fuel, using a funnel with very fine filter to keep impurities away.
-
check that the gear lever is in neutral position.
-
STARTING THE ENGINE
1) Open the fuel tap (fig. 20, n. 1)
2) Push throttle lever halfway (fig. 23, n. 2)
3) Engage the chocke device if the engine is cold (fig. 20, n. 2).
Engine with recoil starter:
- Start the engine by strongly pulling the knob (fig. 20, n. 3).
Engine with electric starter:
- To start the engine turn the key on the dashboard (fig. 22, n. 1).
STARTING THE MACHINE
Engage the chosen gear via the appropriate lever placed left on the dashboard (fig. 1, no. 2). The
machine will start moving when pulling the clutch lever (fig. 8, pos. C). CAUTION: before pulling
the clutch lever to move the machine, always check which gear is engaged (see label - fig.
3). If the gear does not engage immediately, give light touches on the clutch. When releasing the
clutch lever (fig. 8, D) the machine will stop moving but the engine keeps on running.
IN CASE OF DANGER IMMEDIATELY RELEASE THE CLUTCH LEVER (fig. 8, D), BOTH
MACHINE AND IMPLEMENT WILL IMMEDIATELY STOP.
STEERING THE MACHINE
To turn right pull the lever 5R (fig. 1), to turn left pull the lever 5L (fig. 1).
To stop turning the machine release the lever (5L – 5R) and the machine will keep on moving
straight forward.
IN CASE OF DANGER IMMEDIATELY RELEASE THE CLUTCH LEVER (fig. 8, D), BOTH
MACHINE AND IMPLEMENT WILL IMMEDIATELY STOP.
REVERSE GEAR
To engage the reverse gear use the lever placed right on the dashboard (fig. 1, n. 3). If the reverse
gear does not engage immediately, give light touches on the clutch. When driving in reverse pay
close attention to the ground behind.
IN CASE OF DANGER IMMEDIATELY RELEASE THE CLUTCH LEVER 8fig. 8, D), BOTH
MACHINE AND IMPLEMENT WILL IMMEDIATELY STOP.
PTO
The PTO is generally connected to the implement via a hydraulic lifting kit + cardan joint (on
demand). To engage the PTO push forward the PTO lever placed on the right side of the
dashboard (fig. 1, no. 8). If the PTO does not engage immediately, give light touches on the clutch.
To disengage the PTO pull the PTO lever (fig. 1, no. 8). CAUTION: before engaging the PTO
make sure there are no people nor animals around. The rotation of some implements such
as the flail mower and the snow thrower is very dangerous, keep hands and feet away!
CAUTION: THE ROTATION OF THE CARDAN IS HIGHLY DANGEROUS, WHEN THE PTO IS
ENGAGED THE LOAD BODY MUST BE PROPERLY INSTALLED ON THE MACHINE AND
LOWERED. IN CASE OF DANGER IMMEDIATELY RELEASE THE CLUTCH LEVER (fig. 8, D),
BOTH MACHINE AND IMPLEMENT WILL IMMEDIATELY STOP.
