3.3.1. Programming on the external unit (by means of the service set 10-870)
Activation by a call from the external unit
The relay (10-836) switches if a bell push button of an external unit on which the serial
number of this relay was programmed is pressed. Eg. the light in the hall switches on when-
ever there is a call.

Activation by door open key
Relay 2 can be programmed in order to not only open the door of the resp. external unit (with
specific external unit address) but also switch the relay and eg. switch on the light in the hall
with one press on the door open key of an internal unit. The relay is activated by the door
open command. This carries the resp. external unit address and is sent by an internal unit.
If you block the external unit address (see manual service set), the external unit addresses
remain connected to the resp. external units after a power cut.
Activation by parallel serial number
Relay 2 can be programmed in order to react to a call from an external unit, an internal unit
and a bell push button all at once. Program a serial number of an internal unit in parallel
with the serial number of the relay by means of the service set. With every call to this internal
unit, the relay also switches.
Activation by control function
Relay 2 can be programmed in order to react to one control function that was sent by an
internal unit or a bus interface module (10-840).
Remark: The control function is sent on the bus together with the serial number of the internal
unit or the bus interface module. The relay only reacts to this control function if it was sent
on the bus by this specific internal unit or bus interface module.
Setting switch time
The switch time of the relay can be set between 0 and 255s. This time is programmed by
means of the service set.
