Corrosion protection

All of the surfaces of the domestic hot water cylinder which come
into contact with domestic water are provided with a high quality
glass enamel according to DVGW 511 and DIN 4753 and are
equipped with two impressed current anodes to complete the
corrosion protection measures.

Cylinder insulation

The insulation consists of polystyrene foam with laminated PVC
coating and a hook fastener strip.
NOTE
We do not assume any liability for damage resulting from improper
assembly.
Do not use any tools or tension straps and do not use excessive force to close the connections.
 Mount the foam panel for the cover onto the vessel
 Attach the deep-draw hood
 Install the flange insulation provided

NOTE
For information regarding maintenance, handling and installation of the
impressed current anode, please refer to the separate installation and
operating instructions
(supplied with the cylinder).
ATTENTION!
Plastics are subject to temperature fluctuations. Do not install the
insulation below 20° C; if the insulation has been stored in the cold,
preheat it to room temperature.The insulation should only be stored in
dry areas.
The higher the ambient temperature, the lower the foam restor-
ing force.
Due to the shrinkage behaviour of the PVC coating it must be ap-
plied at at least room temperature; furthermore, the brittleness of
the polystyrene decreases with increasing temperature.
Installation
 Lay the insulation loosely around the cylinder; press the con-
nections together.
 Adjust the insulation by knocking it with the palm of your
hand - i.e. knock from the rear towards the slide fastener
and/or hook fastener strip, or knock it until the connections
are so close together that they can be easily connected.
 When doing this, make sure the insulation is aligned flush
with the cylinder wall
Start from the top and retension the hook fastener until the

thermal insulation is wrapped tightly around the vessel.
NOTE
Further information regarding assembly of the cylinder insulation is
supplied separately with the insulation
Age-related discolouration of the foil jacket or insulation has no
influence on the insulating properties of the cylinder insulation.
