Upper and lower blade guide:
The back guide rollers (J, Fig 46) have a grove, which needs to
be in line with the saw blade.
Loosen the grub screw (E) to adjust the roller position.
Set the lateral guide bearings so that they contact the
sawblade lightly.
The sawblade may not be pushed out of place.
Loosen the lock knobs (G).
Adjust the lateral guide bearings by rotating the knurled
knobs (H).
Note:
Set the lateral guide bearings so that they contact the
sawblade lightly.
A quick way to achieve the spacing needed (~0.1mm) is
placing a paper note between blade and guide bearing (Fig
47).

Lock all fasteners.
Test run:
Make sure all fasteners are locked.
Turn the blade wheels by hand and inspect the adjustments
made.
Start the machine with care.
7.6 Blade speed adjustment (JWBS-18 and JWBS-20)
The JWBS-18 and JWBS-20 band saws will operate at two
different speeds (Fig 48).
H...High speed
For standard cutting operations.
L....Low speed
Gives higher blade force, for high rip cuts and cutting hard
wood.
To change the speed:
Disconnect machine from power source.
Loosen the locking handle (A, Fig 49).
