Please note the included General Safety Notes and the
following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or
physical injury:
 Please read this manual carefully and use the device only according
to this manual.
 Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the
reach of children. There is a danger of suffocation!
 Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to
use the device, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a
qualified person.
 The kitchen scale is not a toy. The scale contains parts that can be
swallowed. Keep the scale out of reach of small children.
 Do not immerse the scale in liquids and do not allow water to enter the
device. Do not use the scale with wet hands.
 Do not expose the scale to excessive temperatures, strong vibrations, direct
sunlight (high summer) or high levels of humidity and avoid strong
mechanical stresses.
 Never place the scale near or on hot surfaces.
 Please keep all parts of the scale clean at all times as they come into direct
contact with food.
 Do not use aggressive chemicals to clean the unit. Use only a moist cloth.
 Do not disassemble the unit; it does not contain parts serviceable by you.
 Use only batteries of the same type.
 If you do not plan to use the unit for some time, remove the battery.
 Do not disassemble, burn, or short-circuit batteries and do not attempt to
recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
 Should the unit become damaged do not use it any further and have it
repaired by a professional or contact our customer service. Do not
disassemble the unit or try repairing it yourself.
