Risks of injury

■ Keep children and animals away from the device and packaging material! There is a
danger of injury and suffocation.
■ CAUTION: Danger of scalding from heat and hot steam! Hot steam may be
emitted from the device during operation. You should therefore keep your head and
hands out of the danger zone.
■ Make sure that the connected mains cord does not present a trip hazard. The cord
must not hang down from the surface on which the device is placed in order to pre-
vent the device from being pulled down.
■ Always allow the device to cool off completely before you clean and / or store it.

Danger of Electric Shock and Fire

■ Use the device only in enclosed spaces.
■ Do not use the device if highly fl ammable gases are present in the air. Never operate
the device in the vicinity of a gas source.
■ Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent it from catching fi re.
Provide adequate ventilation while the device is in operation.
■ Do not place any combustible materials or materials that melt easily (such as card-
board, plastic, paper or candles) on or in the device.
■ Never set up or use the device in the vicinity of highly fl ammable materials (curtains,
textiles, etc.).
■ Always set up the device with a suffi cient amount of clear space on all sides and
clear space above it in order to prevent any build-up of heat.
■ In order to avoid electric shocks, do not use the device near water or other liquids.
Set up the device so that the mains cable and the plug cannot come into contact with
water or other liquids.
■ Never immerse the device or cable in water or other liquids. If the device falls into
water, turn off the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull the device out of
the water when it is connected to the mains supply!
■ Never touch the device, the mains cord and the mains plug with wet hands when
these components are connected to the mains supply.
■ The device should only be connected to a properly installed socket with safety con-
tacts. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection. The mains
voltage must match the technical data of the device. Only use suitable extension
cables whose technical data is the same as that of the device.
■ Make sure that the mains cord does not get pinched, kinked or laid over sharp edges
and does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
■ Turn the device off and pull the mains plug out of the socket if a fault occurs during
operation or before a storm.
