4.9. Software upgrade
Telephone exchanges have to develop along with the quick evolution of intercom systems. This way, your exchange can be constantly improved. For new
software versions with their description, go to: www.adb-engineering.be.
For the sake of completeness, upgrading the software version of your exchange is described below.
4.9.1. Intelligent software upgrade
Click 'Send' or 'Get' in the tab 'Programming'. Before retrieving or sending, it is first checked whether the software version of your exchange matches the

software version that is supplied via the configuration program. In reality, this always is the case. If the software version differs, it will be suggested that
you upgrade your telephone exchange.
There are 2 types of intelligent upgrades:
The obligatory upgrade: guarantees that the software is compatible with a new software in case of large-scale modifications. In case of an obligatory upgrade,
you get the message 'ERROR!'. You can only click 'Upgrade' to carry out the upgrade.
The non-obligatory upgrade: in case of small modifications. In case of a non-obligatory upgrade, you get the message 'WARNING!'. You can click 'Next' to
skip the upgrade and continue sending or retrieving.
