2. Installing position of the hook
WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine� be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.

) Remove setscrews 1 and remove throat plate 2 .
2) Remove cap 3 and put a screwdrver from hole 4 to
loosen three hook setscrews. Turn the handwheel n
the drecton where needle bar goes up, set gauge for
the heght of needle bar 5 suppled as accessores to
nstallng plane 6 of the throat plate as shown n the
figure, and adjust the position so that plane B (secton
B of engraved marker) of gauge for the heght of
needle bar 5 enters bottom end 7 of the needle bar.
3) In ths state, adjust blade pont 8 of hook a to the
center of needle 9 . Then adjust so that the clearance
provded between the needle and the hook s 0 to
0.06 mm (standard) and securely tghten three hook
setscrews.
(Tghtenng torque : 2 to 4 N·m)
＊ At ths tme, adjust nner hook b at the poston as
shown in the figure.
4) Install cap 3 and throat plate 2 , and securely tghten
setscrews 1 .
(Tghtenng torque : .5 to 3 N·m)
＊ Adjust the convex of bobbn case holder !0 to the
concave of nner hook b when nstallng the throat
plate.
＊ Tghten setscrews 1 and nstall throat plate 2 whle
pushng throat plate 2 by hand n the drecton of
arrow mark C when nstallng throat plate 2 .
5) Adjust clearance D provded between the convex of
bobbn case holder and the concave of the nner hook
wth gauge !2 suppled wth the sewng machne as
accessores. (Standard : 0.8 mm)
＊ Put gauge !2 suppled as accessores n clearance D
and tghten setscrew !1 whle lghtly pushng bobbn
case holder !0 n the drecton E .
(Tghtenng torque : .5 to 2.5 N·m)
＊ Check that the gauge !2 can go n clearance D and
come out from t wth lght resstance.
