5. Simultaneous operation of the presser foot lifting and open/close of the hemming binder
WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine� be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.

Presser foot lftng and open/close of the hemmng bnder
can be smultaneously performed by attachng the compo-
nents suppled wth the sewng machne as accessores.
) Fx hemmng bnder connectng rod 2 to knee lftng
lever A 4 usng hnge screw 1 . (Tghtenng torque: 4.5
to 5.5 N·m)
2) Fx hemmng bnder connectng rod 2 to presser lftng
lnk connecton 5 usng hnge screws 1 and nut 3 .
(Tghtenng torque should be 4.5 to 5.5 N·m. To secure
nut 3 on the undersde, tghten t wth a 8mm span-
ner.)
＊ When smultaneously performng presser foot lftng
and open/close of the hemmng bnder by knee opera-
ton, remove chan 6 for use.
When smultaneously performng presser foot lftng
and open/close of the hemmng bnder by pedal opera-
ton, remove knee pad plate (asm.) 7 for use.
＊ When the lftng amount of the upper feed roller s nsuf-
ficient, move hinge screw !0 to !1 . The lftng amount of
the upper feed roller ncreased wth the same operatng
amount.
＊ Lftng amount of the upper feed roller s max. 4 mm
and open/close amount of the hemmng bnder s max.
3 mm.
Adjust presser lftng stopper A 9 or 8 for use so that
both the lftng amount of the upper feed roller and
the open/close amount of the hemmng bnder do not
exceed the respectve max. values.
