2 General Advice
This Instructions Manual is an important part of the delivery of the machine and its aim
is to supply important information to the people doing maintenance, service and
operations with the TopVac vacuum packaging machines. It includes necessary
information about the machine itself and its applications as well as information for the
security of the operator and the environment.
All machine operators or workers using the machine have the obligation to read this
manual and to follow all the instructions, especially the safety instructions.
Additionally to this the safety standards and regulations valid at the location where the
machine is used should also be taken into consideration.
The most important safety instructions are summarized in the chapter "General Safety
Instructions". Other important instructions are explained in the related chapters with
special symbols.
This manual should be securely kept in the company were the machine is operated.

Intended usage

The TopVac vacuum packaging machines are intended to be used solely for the
packaging of food and technical products under vacuum.
The machine is a technical working appliance and is designed exclusively for work.
All incorrect usage or usage outside these guidelines is to be considered non-standard
applications and the operator alone is legally responsible for damage caused by
incorrect usage.
All damages occurring due to the misuse of the machine will not be covered by
KOMET.

Materials that are: dangerous, inflammable, ignitable, combustive, temperature and
pressure sensitive, easy to melt, explosive, aggressive, poisonous and infectious are
not allowed to be packed in this machine. As well as materials and live creatures
where the processing or use are against regulations and legislations and/or violating
environmental conditions.
