Do not unscrew the radiator cap before the engine temperature has dropped
together with the cooling system pressure.
•
Do not touch high voltage cables when the engine is on.
•
Handle portable lamps with care and use only the ones that are provided with
metallic protection.
•
Wear accident-prevention spectacles in order to protect one's eyes against petrol,
dust or metals.
•
It must be remembered that the catalytic muffler reaches extremely high
temperatures that can cause very serious burns or fires.
•
Check that there are no lubricating oil stains, wipers, paper or other easily
inflammable materials near the muffles.
When operating on batteries remember:
Car batteries contain sulphuric acid and produce explosive gases; follow the instructions
below:
•
Always wear protection spectacles.
•
Do not lean tools on the battery since they might cause accidental contacts.
•
Before carrying out the test or the recharge, cover with a wet cloth the battery
openings so as to choke explosive gases.
•
Avoid sparks when cables are connected to the battery.
•
Avoid electrolyte sprinkles on your skin, eyes and clothes since they are corrosive
and highly toxic.
