Assembly
Filter and pump set up (Figures 1 – 12)
Fill the fi lter container with fi lter balls
Fill the fi lter container with the recommended amount of fi lter balls (Ac-
tive Balls 50 - approx. 545g, Active Balls 75 - approx. 1,150g). A pack
contains 700g of Filter Balls.
Assembling the fi lter (Figures 1 – 4)
Make sure that the seal on the upper edge of the fi lter container is
clean and in perfect condition. Put the fi lter cover carefully onto the fi lter
container. The cover should be turned so that the notch on the cover ex-
actly matches the notch on the fi lter container. This guarantees that the
cover is correctly aligned. Secure the fi lter cover with the clamping ring
provided for this purpose and tighten it with a screw and rotary knob.
Connecting the hoses (Figures 8,9)
Before starting with the connection to the fi lter or pump, make sure
there is no water fl owing from the inlet pipe or discharge pipe to your
pool.
Pools with inserted hoses having a diameter of 1 ¼" or 1 ½"
The following instructions assume that your pool is fully set up and
equipped with an inlet and drain hose. Make sure that all hose con-
nections are fi tted tightly and that none of the hoses are bent or have
several bends.
Starting up the fi lter system
When the fi lter system is completely assembled, Filter Balls have been
poured into the fi lter chamber and all hoses have been connected, you
can carry on with the initial start-up.
Do not turn on the power until this is expressly mentioned.
■ Make sure that the power cord (electric cable) of the pump is
unplugged.
■ Before operating the fi lter system, it is important to ensure that the
fi lter system is positioned outside the pool and is lower than the pool's
water level. The hose connections must also be correctly connected
and fastened.
■ If your pool is not fi lled yet, fi ll it with water. Make sure that the water
level of the pool is at least 2.5 to 5 cm above the opening of the fi lling
nozzle (skimmer).
■ Open the shut-off valve on the fi lling nozzle (skimmer) of the pool. If
you have closed the fi lling nozzle (skimmer) with a plug, remove it
now.
■ As the location of the fi lter system is lower than the water level of the
pool, the fi lter system now automatically fi lls with water.
■ The fi lter system should now be vented. If applicable, ensure that the
fi lter pump's pre-fi lter guard is slightly open until the water runs from
the pre-fi lter container (transparent cover with screw fi tting on the
upper surface of the fi lter pump).
■ Allow the fi lter container to run full of water.
■ Check the fi lter system and the connection hoses for leaks and fi x, if
necessary. Due to manufacturing tolerances, it may be necessary to
wrap tefl on tape around the connections in the case of any leakage
points before the connection hose is attached.

Filtering time

The swimming pool's water should be circulated and fi ltered at least 2
to 3 times in a 24 hour period, depending on the load and the size of the
fi lter system. The time required is based on the performance of the fi lter
system and the size of the swimming pool. However, we recommend a
minimum running time of 12 hours per day.

Electrical connection

The fi lter system you have purchased is equipped with a connection cable,
which may only be connected to a circuit with a residual current circuit
breaker (RCCB) with a rated tripping current of no more than 30mA.
