3.2
Installation and change
of electrode
The electrode is screwed into the assembly
via the Pg 13.5 thread. Electrode sealing at
the threaded plug-in head is provided by an
O-ring with a clamping ring. At the lower end
of the glass shaft, the electrode is sealed by
an O-ring inserted in the borehole of the
Probfit CPA 440.
Make sure during electrode installation that
the O-rings are clean and properly seated.
Screw the electrode into the assembly
hand-tight and then tighten approx. 1/4 turn
using a size 17 socket wrench.
3.3
Mounting of
measuring cable
1. The cable is drawn through the protective
sleeve (3).
2. The electrode plug is screwed
on the electrode.
3. The protective sleeve is screwed
onto the electrode thread.
4. The cable is bended and the splash
protection cover is pluged on the protective
sleeve.
3.4
O-ring replacement
All O-rings in the assembly should be
checked for damage from time to time.
The standard material for O-rings is EPDM.
Note:
Observe the following rules if an
O-ring replacement becomes
necessary:
• Avoid damaging the O-ring and
O-ring seat.
• Make sure you are using O-rings
made of the correct material (some
media require special
O-ring materials).
