Thank you for your interest in Charly for Kids
by LANAFORM. This ultrasonic humidifier
uses a high frequency oscillator to divide
water into droplets with a diameter of about
1 to 5 μm.
The fan system diffuses the water in the
form of a cool mist providing the desired
humidity. This mist is visible as a light spray
emitted by the diffusor.
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS,
AND PARTICULARLY THE RECOMMEN-
DATIONS FOR BASIC SAFETY BEFORE
USING THE HUMIDIFIER.
•
Always put the humidifier on a hard, flat,
horizontal surface, at least 15 cm from the
walls and away from any source of heat such
as burners, radiators etc. The humidifier
cannot operate correctly on a surface that
is not horizontal.
•
Check that the voltage of your electric
supply corresponds to that of the appliance.
•
Keep the humidifier out of the reach of
children. Do not permit children to play with
the appliance.
•
Before using the appliance, unwind the
cord and verify that it is not damaged. Do
not use the appliance if the cord is damage.
•
Do not plug or unplug the appliance with
wet hands.
•
Never dismantle the basic unit.
•
Never operate an appliance with a defec-
tive plug or cord, or after a breakdown or
damage of any kind. In these cases, return
the appliance to the nearest approved
dealer/repairer for verification and any
necessary repairs or adjustments.

Never add alkaline substances in the
water tank.
•
Do not shake the appliance. This could
spill water into the base unit and affect its
operation.
•
Do not leave the humidifier in the sun for
a long period.
•
If an unusual odour occurs during normal
use, turn off the appliance, unplug it and
have it checked by a qualified person.
•
Unplug the appliance before cleaning it or
removing the tank.
•
Never touch the water or the immersed
components when the appliance is in ope-
ration.
•
Never turn on the humidifier when there
is no water in the tank.
•
Never scratch the transducer.
•
To prevent any damage to the compo-
nents, do not allow water to splash inside
the base unit.
•
Never wash the entire unit with water; do
not immerse it.
•
The ultrasonic humidifier should be
cleaned regularly. To do this, refer to the
cleaning instructions in this manual and
respect them.
•
Do not use the humidifier if the air in the
room is already sufficiently moist (at least
50 percent relative humidity).
•
Excessive humidity gives rise to conden-
sation on cold surfaces or cold walls in the
room. To correctly assess the rate of humi-
dity in the room, use a hygrometer available
in most hardware and department stores.
•
If the power cord is damaged, replace it
with an identical or similar cordon available
from the supplier or his service department.
•
This appliance is not designed to be
used by people (including children) whose
physical, sensory or mental capacities are
diminished, or who are without experience
or knowledge, unless they have the benefit,
through a person responsible for their safety,
of supervision or prior instruction concer-
ning the use of the appliance. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the humidifier.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONCER-
NING THE USE OF ESSENTIAL OILS
•
The humidifier is fitted with a container
for essential oils (oils not provided). Before
using essential oils, check for the negative
effects on health which may result from the
use of such oils.
•
Always choose essential oils of good
quality: they should be pure, 100% natural
and designed for use in diffusers.
•
Use them in moderation and with care.
Follow the recommendations and warnings
indicated on the packaging of the essential
oils and take care in particular to note that:
The use of essential oils is not permitted
for pregnant women or for persons suffe-
ring from epilepsy, asthma or allergies, or
persons with heart problems or serious
illness.
In the bedroom of a baby (less than 3
years old), essential oils should not be
used more than once a day, not for more
than 10 minutes and not when the baby
is present in the room.
•
Make sure that children and minors do not
play with or use the appliance.
•
A few drops (no more than 3 or 4) of essen-
tial oil suffice to ensure correct operation of
the appliance and the diffusion of perfume.
Using too much oil can damage the machine.
•
Oils should only be placed in the container
provided for the purpose.
