6. Setting the SP32 02-80 pump
Use heating additive-free oil or kerosene. Check if the fuel oil in the cis-
tern is clean. Do not use additives, as those already incorporated are the
correct amounts to deal with improved combustion, ageing and resistan-
ce to the cold. Any further additions could quickly damage the pump.
Caution !
Upon ignition, a 10-minute delay prevents the pump from running
without liquid; the option of fi lling the suction pipe with a suction hand
pump must be considered if this pipe is long or part of a bigger section.
Start-up
1° Insert the plug (7) into the socket. When the display (5) shows 8.
pump is powered.
2° Open the shut-off valve (8), and open the furnace valve
3° Press the switch (6), the LED (5) will then show 0,1,2 and 3 in suc
cession.
LED-Display:
The SP32-02-80 is equipped with an LED-display which indicates the
res- pective operating condition.
Display:
0.Oil reservoir is empty (e.g. after power failure)
1.Float is in the range oil reserve (close to empty)
2.Float is the range of switching on level
3.Float achieved upper switching off level (pump has switched off )
4.If the pump could not suck in oil (pump tank is empty) a breakdown
disconnection takes place after approx. 10 min.
5.If the pump did not reach level (2.) after 30min.
6.Oil level in the reservoir is too high
7.Temperature sensor switches the pump off automatically at 60°C ambi-
ent temperature. (Detected inside the SP32-01), e.g. during overloading/
overheating of the pump unit.
8.SP32-02 is under electrical tension
7. In case of breakdown:
The pump is controlled during operation by several parameters. In case
of a fault shutdown, the following checks must be carried out on the
system according to the display :
4. Pump runs dry - without oil
When 4. appears on the display, check the following points:
- The suction pipe is well screwed into the pipe fi tting (air intake).
- The suction rod must be well inside the cistern.
- The fi lter is clean (cleaned once every year).
Check if, according to the table below (para.13), the maximum pipe
height or length has been exceeded
5. Check that the entire installation is functioning properly.
When 5. appears on the display, check the following points:
- Check that the cistern is not empty.
- Check compression in the pipes.
- Check the points mentioned in the event of alarm 4.
When functioning, the pump has two safety devices:
6. Height level of oil in tank
When the display shows 6, it means that the pump has not stopped once
the high level has been reached (point 3 during commissioning).
Disconnect the plug (7), check that the working fl oat is not blocked and
then re-commission.
7. Safety in case of high temperature (fi re, overheating etc...)
7 is displayed when the room temperature rises to above 60°C. If this
digit appears, check where the heat is coming from. To restart the pump
following each breakdown, it must be rebooted by pressing the start but-
ton (6). If you have had to disconnect the pump from the power source,
commissioning will be required (see chapter 6).
There is no display - OFF
-Possibility of electronic defect.
-There was a leak in the retention tray (16). Check the following points :
Check the retention tray that where the leak is coming from, if it is from
connections (in, out) or cracked tray or overfl ow*.
Before restarting the pump, the drip tray must be emptied.
Warning : If the leakage comes from the overfl ow, it means that the
pump has not stopped once level 6 is reached.
Disconnect the plug (7), contact the after-sales service shortly.
8. For any unexpected incident:
- Pull out the plug (7).
- Close the shut-off valve (8).
- Advise after-sales service.
9. Maintenance:
For the pump to function effi ciently, the fi lter should be cleaned annually.
The fi lter is visible once the lid (11) is removed. This fi lter can easily be
unscrewed using a coin. When reassembling, ensure that it is thoroughly
airtight
10. Guarantee:
The manufacturer grants 12 months' guarantee from the date of delivery.
Please keep a copy of the invoice and the warranty. This guarantee
applies to the parts that are faulty or are manufacturing defects, and is
limited to the replacement or the repair of the defective parts, without
entitlement to claim for compensation or damages. We cannot accept
responsibility in the event of improper installation, non-observance of the
specifi cations and maintenance not being carried out.
11. Important notice:
In the event that equipment has to be forwarded, the tank must be
correctly drained before sending. Damage caused by oil spillage during
transport is the responsibility of the sender.

13. WARNING:
The SP32 02 should be handled carefully. Installation and servicing must
be performed by trained / authorised personnel only and must confi rm
with the requirements of the local building regulation. When fi tting this oil
lifter outside, suitable weather proof protection should be provided.
In line with current UK guidance, when fi tting this oil lifter inside a buil-
ding. it should be installed in a fi re proof enclosure which is vented to
outside. This product must be installed in line with local regulations.
