Do not clean the handle together with sharp-edged or pointed objects.
-
-
The handle can be cleaned in an ultrasonic bath.
Following cleaning/washing, all surfaces and bore holes must be thoroughly rinsed with
-
sterilized water.
Water quality must comply with DIN EN 285, Appendix B.
-
Do not use compressed air > 2 bar for handle cleaning – danger of pushbutton damage.
•
The drying cycle should not exceed a temperature of +95°C (203°F). Keep the handles
•
away from heat-generating parts of the dryer, as plastic components of the handle could
melt, thus posing a significant risk of functional damage as well as a serious safety hazard!
Following cleaning, inspect the handle for cleanness. If necessary, repeat the cleaning cycle
•
or clean manually.

Sterilization
Steam sterilization in an autoclave (pre-vacuum cycle, validated procedure acc. to
EN ISO 17665) at 134°C (273.2°F) with a holding time of at least 5 minutes.
Sterilize only cleaned products
•
Use suitable sterilization containers
•
Hot air or so-called "flash" autoclaving are not permitted for handle sterilization!
•
To prevent handle damage, the autoclave temperature must not exceed 137°C (278.6°F).
•
Do not exceed the maximum load permitted for the sterilizer!
•
It is the operator's responsibility to guarantee the continued sterile condition of the product
after completion of the sterilization process. To this end, a standardized packaging means
must be used, large enough to accommodate the HF electrode handle without creating seal
tension.
