Troubleshooting
Problem
Feeder mount detent pins on
both mount legs will not lock
in place. (Only one locked
detent pin required for proper
operation.)
Feeder unit detent pin will not
lock on cross bar.
During operation, feeder
mount moves from its original
position.
A squeeze detent pin does
not engage with the idler roller
assembly.
Cam lever will not engage.
With cam lever engaged, drive
roller slips on cable.
Feeder plugged in and main
power in the ON position, but
unit will not operate.

Possible Cause
Mount feet not in full contact with
cable tray edge.
Ratchet strap not operating
properly.
Cross bar in wrong orientation.
Ratchet strap not properly
secured.
Squeeze detent pins damaged.
Cam lever draw stud over
tightened.
Cam lever assembly damaged.
Inadequate tractive force between
drive roller and cable.
Drive roller damaged.
Lubricated or dirty wire.
Pendant not fully engaged.
Pendant damaged.
Blown fuse.
Control box damaged.
Speed control not turned in CW
direction.
If speed control is fully CW, motor
is rotating but drive roller is not
spinning, there may be a problem
with chain, sprocket, or overload
safety device.
Probably Remedy
Ensure ratchet strap is properly secured.
Contact Greenlee Authorized Service Center.
Ensure weld on cross bar is facing cable
tray. If problem persists, contact Greenlee
Authorized Service Center.
Ensure ratchet strap is properly secured.
If problem persists, contact Greenlee
Authorized Service Center.
Visually inspect squeeze detent pins. If
damage or other abnormalities are present,
contact Greenlee Authorized Service Center.
Turn cam lever CCW until it can fully engage.
Visually inspect cam lever assembly. If
damage or other abnormalities are present,
contact Greenlee Authorized Service Center.
With cam lever thrown, turn it CW to increase
tractive force.
Visually inspect drive roller. If damage or other
abnormalities are present, contact Greenlee
Authorized Service Center.
Only use with dry, clean, and unlubricated
cable.
Ensure pendant is fully inserted into
connector.
Visually inspect pendant. If damage or other
abnormalities are present, contact Greenlee
Authorized Service Center.
Check fuse in control box and if blown replace
with equal rated fuse.
Visually inspect control box. If damage or
other abnormalities are present, contact
Greenlee Authorized Service Center.
With pendent switch in ON position, turn
speed control in CW direction.
Contact Greenlee Authorized Service Center.
