13. lways ensure that the lid is tightly closed before switching on the
appliance.
14. Caution: Using the food dehydrator results in high temperatures.
Use heat resistant oven gloves, if needed. Do not move the food de-
hydrator during operation or as long as it is still hot.
15. Do not operate the appliance more than about 19,5 hours at a time.
Then allow to cool down for 2 hours.
16. Please do not pull on the cable to move the device. Lift the food
dehydrator and place it on the desired location.
17. Do not place objects under or on top of the appliance and do not
cover it while it is in operation.
18. Do not allow the power cord to dangle and place the device in a
way that no one can fall over the cord.
19. Remove the mains plug every time after use, and also:
- in the event of malfunctions whilst in operation,
- every time that it is being cleaned
Please do not pull on the connecting lead but on the plug itself.
20. Check the power cord before every use for damage. void smas-
hing or kinking the power cord or abrasion on sharp edges. If the
power cord is or becomes damaged, it must definitely be replaced.
It must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or similar
or qualified persons.
21. Never immerse the food dehydrator, the cable or the plug in water
or other liquids. Please do not clean it in the dishwasher.
22. Please do not ever use the food dehydrator if you discover damages,
if water has entered the housing or if it has dropped.
23. Never attempt to open or repair the food dehydrator yourself. In the
event of malfunctions have it repaired only by qualified experts. Con-
tact an authorized retailer for this.
24. Use original accessories only.

Before the first use
· Please carefully read the operating instructions as well as the safety
instructions first.
· Remove all packaging material and dispose of it properly.
· Wipe the base with a slightly moistened cloth and dry it off thoroughly.
· Clean the trays and the lid in warm water a mild detergent. Please dry
all parts thoroughly.
· Place the trays on the base and put the lid on.
· Heat the empty device for approx. 30 minutes; the slight smoke and
odor that will probably be produced is completely harmless. Ensure
good ventilation of the room during this period!
· Clean the trays and the lid in warm water and dry all parts thoroughly.
· Do not use any sharp or pointed objects, gasoline, solvent, scrubbing
brushes, or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning. Do not clean the
base in the dishwasher.
