Dealing with Weak Nozzle Sprays
If long-term use of the SpaLet
using the spray, use the following procedure to clean the strainer. This should be performed roughly once every 2 years.
Cleaning the Strainer

Close the water shut-off valve to shut off

the water supply.
* If the open/close knob is difficult to turn, grasp it with
a dry cloth and turn.

Press the [Nozzle Cleaning] button.

Using one hand, hold the water supply

socket located at the lower left corner of the
seat unit as viewed from the front, and then
turn the strainer located at the center of the
water supply socket using the tool.
* Since a small amount of water discharges, place a
small bucket or container below to receive the water.

Note regarding the removal of the strainer
The water supply socket rotates due to its structure.
This does not denote a defect.
[CAUTION]
● When removing the strainer, make sure not to dam-
age the water supply hose.

Wash away all debris inside the strainer

and from the O-ring.

While holding the water supply socket with your

hand, tighten the strainer firmly using the tool.
* Tighten until the end surface of the strainer is flush
with the socket end surface.

[Mounting Precautions]
● Make sure the strainer assembly is reinstalled prop-
erly after removing it for washing.

Fully open the water shut-off valve.

Check for leaks from the water shut-off

valve.
CAUTION
● When removing the strainer, make
sure to close the water shut-off
valve and press the flush button.
OBSERVE
● When installing the strainer, make
sure that the water shut-off valve is
tightened completely.
● Check that there is no debris re-
maining on the O-ring before in-
stalling the strainer.
* Check that the O-ring is free from foreign
materials as failure to do so may result in
water leakage and flooding.
● ■ When the strainer is excessively dirty
Separate the screen part of the strainer from the
threaded part, and wash them with water.
* Be careful not to damage the O-ring. If the
O-ring becomes torn or scratched, water can
leak.
* Be careful not to damage the screen with a
sharp object.
* If the screen becomes torn, dirt can enter and
cause a malfunction.
