5.2.1
Optional Vineyard Wire Anti-Cutting Function
The shear is fitted with an optional function, designed to avoid accidental cutting of the vineyard metallic wire.
Once the function is inserted, the operator grasps the vineyard wire with his free hand at a MINIMUM distance of at least
15 cm from the branch cutting point, that is to say, at least 15 cm from the shear blades.
The contact between the free hand and the wire can be either direct or preferably using conductive metal gloves.
In these conditions, if the blade accidentally touches the wire, the cut stops automatically and the blade returns to the open
position, thus avoiding any accidental damage to the wire and any consequent restoration costs.
Any other use of this optional function does not comply with the project. Therefore, it is not allowed and must be avoided in
the strongest terms, as it does not fall within the intended use and has been neither authorized by the shear designer nor
by its Manufacturer.
The Manufacturer declines any responsibility due to damage to things or people caused by an improper use of the tool,
which has not been authorized by the Manufacturer and does not comply with these instructions for this optional function.
Activation and deactivation of the optional vineyard wire-anti-cut function.
The shears are delivered with deactivated optional wire-anti-cut function.
Operate as follows to activate or deactivate this optional function.
•
Switch off the shears
•
Press and hold the power button pressed for at least 10 sec., until you hear the second "beep" (acoustic signal) in
sequence.
The optional function is now activated / deactivated.
For safety reasons, it is recommended to always deactivate this function when it is not necessary and, in any case, always
before storing the tool.
