DANGER! Risk of electric shock
Do not use the appliance if the appliance or the power cord has any
visible damage, or if the appliance has previously been dropped.
Lay the connecting cable in such a way that no one can step on it, get
caught on it or trip over it.
Only connect the mains plug to a correctly installed, easily accessible,
●
●
earthed wall socket. Be sure it matches the voltage indicated on the
rating plate. The wall socket must remain easily accessible after connec-
tion.
Make sure the connecting cable cannot get damaged by sharp edges
●
●
or hot spots (e.g. cooktops). Do not wrap the connecting cable around
the appliance (danger of cable break!).
Make sure that the power cable cannot get trapped or crushed.
●
●
Even though it has been switched off, the appliance is not completely
●
●
disconnected from the mains supply. In order to disconnect it, pull the
mains plug.
To avoid any risk, do not make modifications to the product. Repairs
●
●
must only be carried out by a specialist workshop and/or by the Service
Centre.
Avoid using extension cords. These must only be used under very spe-
●
●
cific conditions:
... the extension cord must be correctly wired and certified for its use;
... never use a damaged extension cord;
... the extension cord must not hang in mid air;
... children must be kept away from it. It must not represent a tripping
hazard.
Do not connect other appliances to the wall socket, since this may cause
●
●
an overload (do not use power strips).
To pull the mains plug out of the wall socket, always pull on the mains
●
●
plug, and never on the connecting cable.
Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket ...
●
●
... after each use;
... whenever a fault occurs;
... when the appliance is not in use;
... before cleaning the appliance and
... during thunderstorms.
