Troubleshooting
Fault
Metering pump not working,
operating mode (green) or
metering mode (yellow/green)
LEDs not illuminated
Metering pump not working, fault
LED (red) illuminated, no fault
code in the display
Metering pump not working, even
though the operating mode LED
(green) is illuminated, metering
mode LED (yellow/green) is
illuminated yellow
Pump not sucking in despite
venting and max. stroke
Metering head is leaky,
medium
escaping from the connection
leak
Pump not metering even though
motor is running
Always rinse the metering head to remove dangerous media and depressurise the
CAUTION
pressure circuit before repair and servicing work. Wear protective clothing (safety goggles,
safety gloves and apron).
Repairs on electrical equipment may only be carried out by trained electricians
(Employers' Liability Association safety rules VB G 4 and ZH 1/11).
Live parts may be exposed when opening covers or removing parts, apart from covers that
CAUTION
can be opened or parts that can be removed without using tools). Connection points may
also be live.
Before any adjustment, maintenance work, repair work or exchange of parts, the device
must be disconnected from all sources of power if opening of the device is necessary.

Possible cause
Back-pressure too high
Electronic damage
Back-pressure too high
Back-pressure too high
Ambient temperature too
high
Back-pressure too high
Ambient temperature too
high
Supply voltage too low
Possible cause
Mains cable damaged
Wrong voltage
Incorrectly connected
In 4-20 mA operating mode:
input current under 4 mA
No release present
Sediment, sticking of valves,
drying out of valves
Metering head is loose
Diaphragm torn
Air in the metering head
- 55 -
Remedy
Check metering line for blockages,
check back-pressure at the metering
point
Send pump in for repair
Check metering line for blockages,
check back-pressure at the metering
point
Check metering line for blockages,
check back-pressure at the metering
point
Re-site pump, if necessary mount it in a
ventilated housing
Check metering line for blockages,
check back-pressure at the metering
point
Re-site pump, if necessary mount it in a
ventilated housing
Check supply voltage
Remedy
Change mains cable
Check mains voltage
Check connection against terminal plan
Increase input current or check current
input
Check release signal
Flush out the metering head over the
suction line; if necessary also remove
the valves and clean or replace them.
Tighten metering head fastening screws
crosswise (see chapter 10.2)
Replace diaphragm
Vent the metering head
