Tyre pressure control system
TPMS-001
Item no. 62 08 34
Intended use
The tyre pressure control system is intended for monitoring and displaying of the tyre pressure and tem-
perature in vehicles.
This product may only be operated when it is connected to a 12/24 V direct current car power supply, with the
negative terminal of the car battery connected to the body. It may only be installed and operated in vehicles
equipped with this type of voltage supply.
Do not connect the device to the 230 V power supply network.
The user has to install the device in such a way as to ensure that the receiver unit and the cigarette lighter
adapter are protected against moisture and dampness.
Any use, other than that described above, may lead to damage to this product and involves other risks, such
as short circuit, fi re, electric shock.
No part of the system may be modifi ed or altered.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
The product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of companies and
products are the trademarks of the respective owners. All rights reserved.

Safety Instructions
First, read the complete operating manual carefully, as it contains important information
about the proper operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by incor-
rect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty will be void in
such cases!
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation to the product is not
permitted. Individual parts may be damaged and can therefore impair the function or safety of
the vehicle.
• The device may only be used with the 12/24 V direct current vehicle power supply (with the
negative terminal of the battery connected to the body of the vehicle). Never connect the
product to a different power supply.
• Extra care should be taken when starting up the system. Therefore, please follow the operat-
ing instructions carefully.
• The system is intended only for additional monitoring of the tyre conditions; it does not absolve
the driver from practising due diligence. Make sure that driving safety is not affected at any
time.
• Check the tyre pressure at regular intervals with a suitable pressure gauge (e.g. at a petrol
station). The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages due to a faulty display.
• Check regularly that the sensors are screwed tightly onto the valves. To do this, let water run
over the valves with attached sensors to detect a possible leak.
• Do not use damaged or inoperable sensors. This may lead to a loss of pressure in the tyres.
• Do not expose the receiver unit and the cigarette lighter adapter to strong vibrations, moisture
or high mechanical impacts
• Contact a specialist if you have any doubts about how the system functions, about the safety
aspects or how to connect the system.
• This product is not a toy; it is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the potential
dangers involved when using electrical devices.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous plaything for chil-
dren.
• Moreover, observe the additional safety instructions in each individual section of these instruc-
tions.
• If in doubt about how to connect the product correctly, or should any questions arise that are
not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical service or another
specialist.
Functioning of the system

The sensors transmit data for tyre pressure and temperature to the receiver unit, which in turn transmit the
data to a mobile phone.
An appropriate app installed on the mobile phone analyses the data and displays them.
Version 08/13
Limit values for minimum and maximum pressure as well as maximum tyre temperature can be set in the
app. If the set limit values are underrun or overrun, the driver will be warned.
The sensors are equipped with safety screws and are watertight. They are simply mounted instead of the
valve caps.
Thus, the system prevents unnecessary fuel consumption and risks due to erroneous tyre pressure. Further-
more, increased tyre wear is avoided.
Installation in the vehicle
Inserting/Replacing the Sensor Batteries
• Unscrew the covers from the sensors. Use the wrench provided to counter the movement of the sensors.
• If necessary, remove the discharged button cell and insert a new 3V lithium button cell of the type CR1632
into the battery holder. The positive pole on the button cells must point towards the valve.
• Screw the cover onto the sensors again. Make sure that the inserted rubber gasket is clean and undam-
aged.
Attaching the sensors
• Unscrew the covers from the tyre valves.
• Screw the counter nuts provided onto the tyre valves.
• Screw the sensors onto the tyre valves. Make a note of the sensor ID and the respective tyre position.
• Secure the sensors with the counter nuts attached before. A suitable wrench is provided.
Modifi cations to the vehicle, which are made necessary due to the installation of the
system, or other components, must always be carried out in such a manner that neither
the traffi c safety nor the design stability of the motor vehicle are impaired.
Do not install any components within the range of the fully-expanded airbag, as this
could lead to injury to the vehicle's occupants in the event of an accident.
If you are in doubt when selecting a place for installation, consult your vehicle dealer.
When installing the system, take into consideration the risks that can arise from com-
ponents being torn away in the event of an accident. Therefore, you should secure each
component in a place where it will not pose a risk to passengers.
When mounting the sensors, pay attention that you do not damage the valves and their
threads. The sensors must only be fastened hand-tight.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed
by children or domestic animals. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with the skin.
You should therefore wear suitable protective gloves.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fi re.
There is a risk of explosion!
Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; there is a risk of explosion!
Observe the correct polarity when inserting the battery (positive /+ and negative/-).
Remove the batteries if you do not use the sensors for a longer period.
Do not swap the covers as they are are marked with the sensor ID, which is used for sensor
allocation in the software.
The batteries last for approx. one year. The battery voltage is shown in the app. Replace the
batteries as described above if the voltage is reduced to below 2.7V.
