for an audio unit with line output (e. g. CD
player, tape recorder)
Channel 2 for an audio unit with line output
Channel 3 for a wireless microphone or

3.1 Approval
According to the R + TTE regulation (Radio and Tele-
communication Technical Equipment) the approval of
the unit is valid in the countries of the European Union.
The approval is indicated in the specifications. For the
operation in countries outside the EU, please contact
your retailer or the MONACOR subsidiary in the coun-

In the Federal Republic of Germany, the frequency
range of 863 MHz to 865 MHz has been approved for
the operation of wireless audio transmission systems.
As it is possible that this frequency range for this field
of application is not available in other countries of the

4.2 Power supply

The power supply can be made both via a mains
socket or via the integrated rechargeable battery.
1) First connect the supplied mains cable to the mains
connector (8) of the unit and then connect the
mains plug to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
2) The charging control CHARGE (6) lights up:
red = the rechargeable battery is charged
green = the charging procedure is terminated
During charging, the unit can be operated as usually.
However, the charging procedure is shortened if the
unit is switched off with the switch POWER (12).
3) After the end of the charging procedure it is possi-
ble to operate the unit via the rechargeable battery
independent of the mains. With maximum volume
an operating time of up to 8 hours is possible. With
a lower volume the operating time is prolonged.
4) The rechargeable battery should be recharged if
the indication LOW (6) lights up.
5) By the charging automatics the rechargeable bat-
tery cannot be overcharged. However, the mains
plug should be disconnected from the mains if the
rechargeable battery is fully charged [display
CHARGE (6) shows green] and the unit is not used
for a longer time. Otherwise, even with the unit
switched off, a low current will always be consumed.
4.3 Connection of microphone, audio units,
and further TXA-500/TXA-502 units
1) If a cable-connected microphone is required ad-
ditionally or instead of a wireless microphone, con-
nect it via an XLR plug to the jack MIC (1).
2) For the connection of three audio units as a maxi-
mum with line output, e. g. CD player, tape record-
er, different jacks are provided:
– 6.3 mm jack LINE (1) if no microphone is con-
nected to the XLR contact
– phono jacks LINE (3)
– 3.5 mm jack LINE (4) if no wireless microphone
is used
If required, use a corresponding adapter if a chan-
nel is already reserved with the matching input jack.
3) If several TXA-500 units or TXA-502 units are re-
quired, connect them via the jacks LINK INPUT and
LINK OUTPUT (2):
a) Connect the jack LINK OUTPUT of the main
unit, to which all audio units and microphones
are connected, via a cable with phono connec-
tors to the jack LINK INPUT of the second unit.
b) Connect the jack LINK OUTPUT of the second
unit to the jack LINK INPUT of the third unit etc.
c) Always set all controls LEVEL (10) of the addi-
tional units to "0" because the volume and the
sound are only set via the main unit.
