Functional Description and Operation
The
DG1-II
is a mixing equipment for disinfectants. It is used for the production of a ready-
to-use disinfectant solution.
The
DG1-II
metering unit includes a double-action piston metering pump driven by a
hydraulic motor. The disinfectant is metered proportionally to the water flow rate. By means
of an eccentric located at the hydraulic motor, you can set the concentration of the
disinfecting solution to a value between 0.25 and 3 %.
To make sure that the concentration is maintained at its correct value, the minimum

tapping quantity must be 1 liter.

indicator (red LED). You use the membrane keypad to operate the unit.
To start or stop the tapping process, press the ON/OFF (I/0) switch. In case of water
shortage or a failure in the unit (metering pump defective, flow control device defective,
etc.), the metering process is stopped immediately. After eliminating the cause of the
trouble, press the (I/0) switch to reset the unit.

is equipped with the following safety devices:
The electronic system indirectly monitors the water flow
pressure through intelligent evaluation of the pulses
emitted by the flow control device.
The maximum quantity of water supplied is controlled by
a quantity regulator located inside the solenoid valve.
The flow control device with its integrated pressure
control valve which is fitted upstream from the metering
point monitors the flow of the disinfectant product.
If a failure of the metering pump, suction line, drive, or
level suction pipe causes a product shortage, or if an
unsuitable disinfection product is used, the metering unit
changes to fault mode.
The red fault LED lights up (permanent light).
If the supply container is empty, the metering unit stops
operating and the red fault LED flashes.
Upstream from the disinfection metering point, a
backflow preventer according to DIN EN 1717 is fitted.
This is a safeguard against disinfectant penetrating into
the water supply network in case of a backflow.
