The space between the appliance's walls and the hearth compartment must be closed with a filler frame which must be easily removable for
maintenance operations.
Furniture and movable objects must be positioned at least 15 cm from the sides of the appliance; these objects must be moved when performing
maintenance on the appliance.
Protect all structures that can catch fire against the heat radiated by the fire.
Any additional intervention by the authorised technical assistance centre that requires the appliance to be disconnected from the system
will not be covered by the warranty, as explained in the chapter "Standard Warranty Conditions".
External air intake
During operation, the appliance takes in air from the environment in which it is installed; it is therefore essential that this air is replaced through an
external air vent. The absence of the air vent may affect the draught inside the flue and, therefore, the combustion and safety of the appliance.
Consequently, it is mandatory to install an external air vent with a minimum clear opening of at least 80 cm
(round hole with minimum 15 cm

diameter protected with a special fixed large-mesh grid).
If the wall behind the appliance is on the outside, we recommend opening the hole close to it at roughly 10 cm from the base of the appliance
(see
example in Fig.
1).

If it is not possible to fit an air vent in the wall behind the appliance, make a hole in a perimeter wall inside the room where the appliance is installed
and another hole in the covering
(see example in Fig.
2). If it not possible to fit the external air vent in the same room where the appliance is installed,
the hole can be made in an adjoining room as long as this room communicates permanently by means of a transit hole (15 cm minimum diameter).
