Preparing for shooting
1. Loosen the camera support fixing screw ⑧ , then position the camera
support ⑦ to support the camera from underneath. (Be careful when
you lift up the camera, or the optical axis may become misaligned.) (Fig.
7)
2. Loosen the cable release shaft fixing screw (rotating movement and
height ) ⑨ and cable release shaft fixing screw ⑫ , then set the cable
release socket ⑩ position right above the camera's shutter release
button. (Fig. 8)
3. Make sure that the cable release socket ⑩ is set just a little above the
release button, but not touching it.
4. Attach the cable release. (Fig. 9)
5. When pushing the release button, make sure the top of the release
touches the non-skid pad attached to the shutter release button.
Attaching/how to use the light shielding rubber sheet
The supplied light shielding rubber sheet can be used to reduce the light
entering between the eyepiece/DS-mount and the lens of the camera.
1. Hook the holes of the light shielding rubber sheet onto the light
shielding rubber sheet attaching projections ⑬ . (Fig. 10)
2. The excess sheet can be folded or cut depending on your camera's
dimensions, shape and how the light enters.
[Note]
If you readjust the camera position or operate the zoom after attaching
the light shielding sheet, please take care that the eyepiece/DS-mount
does not hit the lens of the camera.
