Use a shock-proof receptacle for the electrical
connection to mains voltage of 230 V and 50 Hz
above the ooding zone with at least a 6 ampere
fuse.
The pump is ready to operate when it is con-
nected to the receptacle.
Cleaning the Impeller
In case o mpurities in the pump casing, the
lower part of the pump must be dismantled as
follows:
1.
Remove the 4 screws on the lower side
of the suction cage.
2.
Remove the suction cage from the
pump casing.
3.
Clean the impeller with clear water.
4.
Reassemble in the reverse order.
Make sure that you don't put the pump down on
the impeller.
Setting the On/O Switching Point
The ON and OFF switching point of the oat
switch can be set by changing the length of the
oat switch cable in the oat switch grating.
Check the following before switching on:
- The switching point height for ON and the
switching point height for OFF must be easy to
reach;
- The distance between the head of the oat
switch and the oat switch grating must not be
too small;
- Check to see i t works in a barrel lled with
water. Submerse the pump and raise the oat
switch slightly and then lower it again. The pump
must switch on and o .
- The oat switch must not contact the bottom of
the pump before switching o ; otherwise there is
a hazard of dry running.

Service and Maintenance

- Before performing any work on the equip-
ment, pull the power plug.
- Use a damp cloth to clean the plastic elements.
Do not use any cleansers, solvents, or pointed
objects.
Check the functioning of the oat switch every
three months.
Remove any impurities in the pump casing and
any deposits on the oat switch with clear water.
Clean the bottom and walls of the shaft every 3
months.

Repairs
Only use accessories and spare parts recommend-
ed by the manufacturer. If the equipment should
fail some day in spite of our quality controls and
your maintenance, only have it repaired by an
authorised electrician.
