5.3 Cooling

In the hydraulic variants with solar, if the cooling function is activated, the excess energy of the
storage is returned to the collector. This occurs only if the temperature in the storage tank is
higher than the "Cooling T eff" value and the collector is at least 20 °C colder than the storage
and until the storage temperature is below the "Cooling T eff" value. For multi-storage systems,
cooling is applied to the entire storage.
This function involves a loss of energy through the collector! Cooling should only
be activated in exceptional cases, with minimal heat demand, e.g. during vacation
times.

5.4 Frost protection

A 2-level frost protection function can be activated. In level 1, the controller turns the pump on
every hour for 1 minute if the collector temperature is lower than the "Frost level 1" set value. If
the collector temperature continues to decrease until it falls below the "Frost level 2" set value,
the controller will turn the pump on without interruptions. If the collector temperature exceeds
the "Frost level 2" value within 2 °C, the pump will turn off again.
This function involves a loss of energy through the collector! Normally it is not
activated for solar systems with frost protection. Observe the operation manuals
of other system components

5.5 Anti-blocking protection

If the anti-blocking protection is activated, the controller turns the heat pump and mixing valve
on/off every day at 12:00h or weekly every Sunday at 12:00h for 5 seconds, to prevent the
pump and/or valve from blocking after a long period of inactivity.

5.6 Collector alarm

If this temperature in the collector sensor is exceeded when the solar pump is turned on, a
warning or error signal is activated. A corresponding warning signal is present on the display.
