Warranty and Liability
The controller has been manufactured and tested in compliance with high quality and safety
requirements. The unit is subject to a warranty period of two years from the date of purchase.
However, the warranty and liability do not cover personal injury or material damage due to any
of the following conditions:
• Failure to observe installation and operating instructions.
• Incorrect installation, startup, maintenance and operation.
• Repairs done incorrectly.
• Unauthorized structural changes to the unit.
• Use of the device for other than its intended purpose.
• Operation above or below the limit values listed in the "Specifications" section.
• Force majeure.
Disposal and pollutants
The controller complies with European directive RoHS 2011/65/EU which concerns restrictions
on the use of certain substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
DANGER
Failure to comply with these instructions can cause serious damage to health, such as
serious burns or injury.
Under no circumstances can the device be disposed of with normal household waste. Dispose
of the unit only at appropriate collection points or hand it over to the seller or manufacturer.
DESCRIPTION ECOTRONIC HITECH
Information on the controller
The ECOTRONIC HiTech differential temperature controller allows efficient use and control of
the solar or heating system with intuitive operations. For each programming point, the appro-
priate functions are associated with buttons explained in a previous text. The menu contains
keywords for the settings and measured values as well as help texts and images.
The ECOTRONIC HiTech can be used with different installation variants; see "Hydraulic vari-
ants" on page 141and following.

• Description of charts and texts on the luminous display.
• Simple display of current measured values.
• Statistics and system monitoring through statistical charts.
• Extensive setting menus with explanations.
• Menu lock activatable to prevent inadvertent changes to settings.
• Function for resetting previous values or factory settings.
