Attach the nylon plate to the (previously attached) thigh holder:
- Undo the two screws that are connecting the joint brace to the thigh holder.
- Fit the white nylon plate with the supplied fi llister head screws 12 to the
thigh holder (the screws must secure the nylon plate and the joint brace
to the brace). Tighten the screws (fi g. K).

Undo the upper brace from the lower brace (fi g. L):
- Position the two braces at an angle of approximately 90° to one another.
- Operate the unlocking/locking mechanism in accordance with the arrows, and
at the same time, rotate the joint disc (stop) in the UNLOCK direction.
Then remove the lower brace from the fork.

Secure the upper brace to the nylon plate (that was previously secured to the hip holder)
using the supplied long screws (13) and the relevant plastic washers. Do not tighten.
Align the upper brace along the centre line of the leg (for exact alignment, using the
Trochanter major and the Condylus lateralis as reference points). The centre point of the
joint must be at the level of the patella axis. Tighten the screws 13 (fi g. M).

Secure the lower brace back to the upper brace. To do this, fi rst loosen the screws 15 (fi g. L):
- Position the two braces at an angle of approximately 90° to one another.
- Check to make sure that the joint disc is fully rotated in the UNLOCK direction.
- Insert the lower brace into the fork by operating the locking/unlocking mechanism.
- Rotate the disc in the LOCK direction until it engages.
