830 control unit can be connected directly to the
equipment terminals on the inside of the enclo-
sure to be protected.
By using several LA830 air outlets, it is possible
to achieve a higher volume flow during the purg-
ing phase, which, in turn, leads to a considerably
shorter purging time. Thanks to the built-in spark
and particle barrier in the LA830 air outlet, the
purging air can be released directly into the
explosive atmosphere.
A purging phase may only be carried out with
explosive gas mixtures. Pre-purging is not per-
mitted for applications in explosive dust atmo-
spheres. Here cleaning is necessary to ensure
that there is no dust in the enclosure to be pro-
tected.
The requirements for the enclosure in which the
industrial equipment and components are
installed are met by the U certificate of the empty
enclosure.
